Gem Does a Marathon

Stupid stuff I've signed up to do.

I’ve done a lot of ill-advised things in my time. There was that night when I was a teenager when I thought it was a really good idea to spend the night in an abandoned house with no plumbing or running water. Deciding to walk the 5 miles to school one morning when I missed the train. Kicking my bedroom door so hard it fell off its hinges when I was in a bad mood. Deciding to wear liquid eyeliner when I’m already running late. Plus, of course, all the times, the words “Should we get another bottle?” have passed my lips. At the grand old age of 44 and 11 months, it’s good to know that I can still find some very ill-advised things to do that I haven’t already done.
